An act of philanthropy was shown by internet millionaire Bill Gates and British Prime Minister David Cameron, who gave $130 million to help developing countries wipe out polio.
to make it happen, Gates said that next two years from now is required to intensify the campaign. He also mentioned that the campaign is going to be an expensive endeavour.
Going by what Gates said, it costs about a billion a year to buy the drugs, to get the vaccines out there, to find the children. The foundation has added 100 million today to the polio campaign.
Meanwhile, Cameron said that Britain would double its contribution to the campaign "from 30 million to 60 million dollars".
Such acts should be an inspiration to those who can shell out money for the welfare of poor and needy, because as per the Prime Minister, there never a wrong time to do the right thing.
