Emboldened by the open and free platform provided by Social media, people have taken the liberty to express their views as they feel like. Angry citizens and dissatisfied employees can now directly take on mighty governments and corporates by expressing their grievances in not-so-charitable language.
While most people tend to maintain decency on social media platforms, some hide behind disguises to mock and abuse the powerful and famous. Alarmed by widening reach and impact of social media, governments are contemplating putting restrictions on content freely available in public. But the question is who should have the right to put control over 'people's right to free speech?

When corporates have taken control over mainstream media, people can at least raise their voice against misdeeds of their rulers through social media. Already enough laws and mechanisms are in place to check content which is not considered appropriate for sharing in public. Any plan by governments must be opposed tooth and nail by freedom lovers, as social media remains the last resort for helpless citizens to take on might establishment.
