India opposed the global ban of the highly toxic Endosulfan at Stockholm convention in Oct 2010. Who is to be blamed for the continuous suffering of 50000 villagers of Kasargod? Should Sharad Pawar be made answerable?

Wrong to blame Pawar alone

Farmer crisis in India has been going on for more than two decades. Endosulfan usage has also been for decades. What have several other agriculture ministers and prime ministers before Sharad Pawar done to help the farmers?
It is a well planned ploy of Congress party and its sympathisers in civil society to put all blame on Pawar for farmers misery and not say a single word against hopeless UPA leadership.
If you go and ask the farmers in Maharashtra, they will tell you how Pawar as chief minister of state initiated measures to improve conditions of farmers and made state one of the most prosperous. What the subsequent congress CMs have done? Please view things from a wider perspective and don't get influenced by Congress party propaganda.

Sharad Pawar is the Minister that poor farmers in this country unfortunately have, to represent their interests. He is of course not interested about our anna daatas. He is however keen on rubbing shoulders with cricketers and making sure that that murky world that passes off as a game is made richer! His conscience is not troubled by the lakhs of farmers who committed suicides or the tens of thousands of others who have been affected by chemical pesticides in this country. Never had any time to visit Vidarbha in all these years - it is shameful.
Rural India will have some hope if this man first steps down. In fact, he should have done so long back!
